Your router doesn’t connect directly to the fiber-optic line; instead, it connects to an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), which transforms fiber-optic signals to Ethernet.
Older routers run old wireless standards and upgrading to a current model can improve your WiFi capabilities and ensure you are getting the fastest upload and download speeds with Greenlight Networks. Signs that a router might be on the way out include slower speed, reduced range, and other malfunctions. You can always check with the router manufacturer to see if it’s time for an upgrade!
